Zygrhablithus sileensis
Cavate holococcolith with a base and hollow distal process with 4 arches. The process and most of the base are formed of four blocks, in addition a narrow rim surrounds the base.

Taxonomy:
Citation: Zygrhablithus Deflandre, 1959
Taxonomic rank: genus
Type species: Zygrhablithus bijugatus (Deflandre in Deflandre & Fert, 1954) [Zygolithus]
Synonyms: Pseudozygrhablithus Haq 1971 (all species synonimised with Z. bijugatus)
  • Sujkowskiella Hay et al. 1966 (type sp. is syn. of Z .bijugatus)
  • Distinguishing features:
Parent taxon (fossil holococcoliths): Holococcolith genera only known from the fossil record
This taxon: Spinose holococcoliths, which are birefringent in side view. In plan view the coccoliths are non-birefringent with a distinct figure-of-eight shaped central structure.
