Original Description
Test free, pyramidal, three sided, the sides flat or slightly concave; chambers numerous, closely appressed, usually extending into spines at the initial end and on the angles; wall calcareous, finely perforate, smooth or granular; aperture semilunar, simple, at the base of the last septal face on the truncated end of the test. Monotypic.
