Extra details from original publication
Discussion. The most interesting character of this genus is the development of the paired chambers, one on each side of the
plane of coiling in the adult growth stage. The last chamber becomes broad and flattened before dividing along the plane of coiling into two chambers. In most specimens which have reached the adult growth stage, there is only one pair of chambers, but the next to the last chamber is usually partially divided, and the others near the end are broad and somewhat flattened.
