Original Description
Diagnosis - A broad, thick Chiloguembelina; chambers rapidly enlarging, last and next-to-last ones large, overhang in a mushroom shape the preceding chambers.
Description. - Test roughly wedge-shaped, rapidly increasing in width and breadth. Initial end narrow, acute, apertural end broad. In each row are 6-7 strongly embracing chambers, rapidly increasing in height. Last and next-to-last chambers much larger than others and take up almost half the test. They overhang in a mushroom shape the previous chambers. Sutures between the earlier chambers slightly depressed, between later chambers deep. Aperture a broad arcuate slit. Wall finely perforate.

Comparison - From C. midwayensis (Cushman) [Guembelina midwayensis, 1940] and C. crinita (Glaessner) [Guembelina crinita, 1937] this species differs by its thicker test, embracing chambers, rapid chamber growth, relatively large chamber dimensions, and mushroom-like shape of the last pair of chambers.]
