Original Description [Translation from the Russian. - A flat Chiloguembelina, early chambers increase in size rapidly, later ones slowly. [Description. - Test broad, wedge-shaped, strongly compressed bilaterally. Height one and a half times width. Periphery lobate. Initial end acute, with an initial angle of 35-50°. Apertural end broadly rounded. Test made up of 8-12 chambers. Chamber growth relatively even. Early chambers spherical, increase in size a little more rapidly than the later high, alate chambers, which slowly increase in size and differ little in size from one another. Sutures depressed, straight. Apertural surface of last chamber obliquely cut off. Aperture quite high, semioval or semicircular, off the growth axis of the test. Wall thin, semitransparent, finely perforate. Surface of chambers smooth. Around the apertural end sometimes very small spines are seen. Size: Height 0.25mm, Width 0.15mm, Breadth 0.09mm Extra details from original publication Variation and remarks. - In the species described dimorphism is quite distinct. The microspheric form is represented by broad low tests with a sharp initial end (fig. 7a-c). The megalospheric form is expressed by narrow and high tests with a large proloculus (fig. 8).
Comparison. - The species described is closest to C. midwayensis (Cushman) [Guembelina midwayensis, 1940], from which it differs by its flatter test and few, high, evenly enlarging chambers. It differs in these features from the similar species C. crinita (Glaessner) [Guembelina crinita, 1937] and C. trinitatensis (Cushman and Renz) [Guembelina trinitatensis, 1942].]
