Original Description [Translation from the Russian. - Test, in general, is the same as in the typical form. However, rather than having three chambers in the final whorl, as in Globigerina eocaenica, there are 3ÃÇÂ_ or 4 chambers in the final whorl. The first chamber in the final whorl seems to displace the 2 following along the spiral toward the final chamber. Therefore, in Globigerina eocaenica irregularis the final chamber overlapsnot 2 but 3 preceding chambers, which are closely adjacent to one another, as it is evident in the figures. The aperture in these forms, in comparison to the aperture of typical specimens, is displaced toward the umbilicus which is sometimes situated immediately above it. This form is isomorphic which the associated Globigerina bulloides d'Orbigny, and differs from it in smaller test dimensoins, a less distinctly defined 4 chamberes final whorl, considerably closer attachment of chambers, and a comparatively small, narrow, open aperture.]
