Original Description

Test spherical, consists of 3 whorls. First two whorls smaller than the last one, rise slightly above the chambers of the last whorl. Last whorl much larger than the others, comprises the basic mass of the test. In the last whorl there are usually three inflated chambers gradually increasing in size and tightly appressed. Last chamber often much larger than the two preceding ones. Sutures depressed, arcuately curved. Aperture on the ventral side where the septal sutures of the three chambers meet. Wall coarsely reticulate, coarsely perforate. [Translation from Ellis & Messina catalog]

Size:
Diameter 0.22 mm.

Extra details from original publication
The chamber size is variable in this species. Together with specimens in which the chambers in the last whorl are of equal size, many tests a re seen with chambers of different size. In consequence of this the test assumes a roughly spherical shape. The test size also varies.

Editors' Notes
This species is a junior homonym of G. globosa van Hagenow 1842 and G. globosa Hantken 1883. It hence is of no nomenclatural significance.
