Original Description "G. testa suborbiculata, depressa, tuberosa, hirsuta, alba perforata; spira depresso-concava, anfractibus binis; loculis quinis, sphericis; suturis excavaris; apertura mediocri. Coquille. Orbiculaire, déprimée, beaucoup plus large que haute, couverte partout de pointes allongées, tubuleuses, creuses, qui la rendent comme hérissée. Spire concave au sommet, presqu'enroulée sur elle-même sur un même plan, composée de deux tours, le premier peu distinct et encrouté ou de huit à neuf loges en tout. Loges sphériques, très-détachées, au nombre de cinq au dernier tour, croissant rapidement et laissant entr'elles un assez large ombilic. Ouverture unique en croissant, bordée d'un bourrelet, et placée dans l'ombilic même. Couleur blanche. Size: Diamètre: 1/3 millimètre. Extra details from original publication De toutes les espèces du genre, celle-ci est peut-être la plus jolie, la plus remarquable par la longueur des petits tubes dont elle est hérissée, par la régularité de sa forme et par son enroulement sans saillie spirale. Ses cinq loges au dernier tour la rapprochent du G. Dutertrei, dont elle diffère par sa spire non saillante, par ses épines et par son enroulement.
