Explanation: Hofker 1956 proposed a new species Globigerina stainforthi, but this was junior homonym of a species of Bronimann. New names were proposed for this taxon by both Hofker and Thalmann, in Thalmann 1959 (Globigerina aequatorialis) & Bermudez 1961 (Globigerina hofkeri), so the name proposed by Hofker & Thalmann has priority.
