Original Description [Translation from the Russian.- Test large, resembling Globigerina in the way of chamber arrangement, consisting of 2 whorls. Peripheralborder strongly lobate, rounded. First whorl very small in comparison with the second, in its size being approximatelyequal to the first chamber only in the secong whorl, and sometimes even smaller. It is characteristic that in most cases the first whorl is in almost the same plane with the second and is often imperceptible because of the extreme convexity of chambers of the final second whorl. The second whorl consists of 4 spherical, very loosely arranged, chambers. The second and third chambers of the final whorl appear to be especially widely spaced. Chambers of the second whorl increase very rapidly in size from the first to the final chamber, due to which the thickness of the final chamber is considerably greater than that of the first chamber of the final whorl. Chamber outline is uniform on both sides of the test. There is a large open umbilicus in the middle of the ventral side of the test. Sutures deep, slightly curved, very short. Aperture slitlike, often with a thin lip along the marginal suture. Wall coarsely pitted. Dimensions: Diameter 0.45- 0.60 mm.; thickness 0.30-0.35
