Original Description

[Translation from the Russian.- Test spherical, with chambers elongate at the periphery. Dorsally, the first whorl has five chambers, and the second and the third whorls have four or five chamberseach, which are nearly spherical. Ventrally, there are five inflated chambers, with a large semilunate aperture in the last chamber. Test sperically rounded, conical, with a lobate periphery. Ventrally there are three whorls. The round initial chamber of the first whorl is followed by five small semispherical chambers, wich either moderately overlap the next whorl or are in the same plane with it. The second and the third whorls each have four or five rapidly enlarging, subspherical chambers; viewed from the periphery, the chambers in the last whorl are ovally elongate. On the ventral side there are five subspherical chambers surrounding a deep umbilicus. Septal sutures narrow, straight, deeply depressed in the two last whorls. Aperture large, semilunate, gaping on the umbilical side of the last chamber. Wall calcareous, the surface of all chambers (including the last) alveolar, expressed as dense and deep pores. There are short spines between the pores, often lending a rugose appearance to the surface. Diameter 0.45 mm.; thickness 0.37 mm.
