Original Description [Translation from the Russian. - Test transitional between Globigerina pseudocaena var. pseudocaena Subbotina and Globigerina triloculinoides Plummer. It differs from the former in having fewer chambers in the final whorl, and in their closer attachment to one another. It is distinguished from the latter species by the usual presence of 3Â_ chambers by the final whorl and by the character of the aperture, which is a deeper slit along the marginal suture. Average dimensions: Diameter 0.50 mm.; thickness 0.18 mm.
[Very often the marginal suture in Globigerina pseudoeocaena trilobata is not situated at the "equatorial plane" which divides the test into two halves, but an angle to it, closer to the terminal portion of the test.]
