Original Description

Gl. minima, sublaevigata, rotundato-oblonga, subdepressa, in circuito leviter quadrilobata, porarum incavationibus latis, polygonalibus in pluribus hexagona quasi reticulata. Spira valde depressa, loculis 8 formata. Loculi parvi, orbiculares, semiglobosi, conferti. Suturae tenerae, latioribus sulcis levibus insectae. Apertura angusta, satis longe fissurata.

A very curious small globigerine form of elongated four-sided depressed shape, shallow four-lobed with rounded corners in outline, not quite smooth from the surface, as it were drawn weakly like a net by narrow intermediate ridges, which separate the slight, further, polygonal, mostly even clearly hexagonal depressions in which the pores that pierce the shell lie. The very flat, low shell consists of eight small chambers that are pressed tightly together and protrude in a hemispherical shape at the top and bottom chambers. The faint suture lines lie above and below in shallow but wider suture furrows; they are far more faintly marked in the periphery. The aperture is elongated slit-shaped, slightly crescent-shaped.
