Original Description

The test is small; very low trochoid, almost flat. The spiral makes two whorls, having four chambers to each whorl. The first chambers are hardly noticeable, while the following ones increase uniformly in size. Every two opposite chambers are situated perpendicularly to each other. The sutures are straight, strongly depressed. The aperture is small, umbilical, extending in the last four chambers. Specimens are also observed with closely fitting chambers, as well as specimens in which on the four chambers of the last whorl a supplementary chamber is present. There are very slight variations in the dimensions of individual specimens.

Editors' Notes
Gradstein et al (2017), argue that this species is based on a glauconitc teinkern and so is of no value
