Original Description

Translated from French. Test calcareous, semiinvolute, finely perforate, biumbilicate. Four, rarely 5 chambers. The first of the five chambers often barely showing. These chambers, diametrically opposed, increase rapidly in size resulting in a very globular last chamber. Sutures, deep, distinct lending the periphery a strongly lobate shape. Apertural face convex, equi-dimensional. Umbilicus deep as a result of the rapidly increasing chambers. Aperture, crescent-shaped, located at the base of the last chamber, capped by a thin lip.
