The holotype of Globigerinella escheri clavata Bronnimann is clearly and obviously low trochospiral. All images of Georgescu and Huber (2008) of "Globigerinelloides clavatus" used in this site are planispiral. It seems that we are dealing two different genera, let alone the same species.
I agree it is clearly trochospiral, and I think the holotype of escheri clavata should be reassigned to Clavihedbergella amabilis. Planispiral specimens assigned to clavatus in the Georgescu & Huber 2008 paper should be reassigned to mendezensis. I am working on revision of Late Cretaceous species assigned to Globigerinelloides and have included those revisions in that manuscript.
Following your comments and those of Changjie I am now removing the Globigerinoides clavatus page, reassigning the specimens to Globigerinelloides mendezensis and treating Globigerinella escheri clavata as a junior synonym of C. amabilis.
I hope that looks right
