Original Description The test is calcitic, macroperforate, biumbilicate, with a biconcave, thick-disc shape. Adult coiling is planispiral and adult chambers are subglobular or radially elongate. The surface is covered with spines or spine bases. The aperture is umbilical–extraumbilical throughout ontogeny. Size: Etymology: Extra details from original publication Range: Miocene to Holocene.
