Original Description "The fairly small test consists of about three whorls of fairly rapidly enlarging, weakly inflated, partially embracing, depressed chambers. The early whorls consist of five chambers, but this is reduced to four in the last whorl. They are coiled in a low trochospire. In equatorial profile, the test is subcircular to subquadrate, and the equatorial periphery is broadly and weakly lobulate. In axial profile the test is tumid and broadly oval, but the ventral side is much more strongly vaulted than the weakly convex dorsal side. In axial profile the chambers are ovoid, their dorsal surfaces being weakly convex and their ventral sides strongly inflated.
The axial periphery is broadly rounded, no distinct dorso-peripheral shoulder being present. The dorsal intercameral sutures are initially obscure, but later become increasingly distinctly and broadly depressed. The dorsal intercameral sutures are initially curved, meeting the weakly curved to subradial. In dorsal view the chambers are initially reniform; during ontogeny they become increasingly depressed and increasingly longer than broad. The ventral umbilicus is broad and deep, but it is covered by a broad and inflated bulla. Deeply depressed sutures mark the attachment of the bulla to the last-formed chamber, the earliest chamber, and the posterior part of the second chamber of the last whorl. A single broad accessory aperture extends along the margin of the bulla for the full breadth of the penultimate chamber; it is unrestricted by any lip or rim like thickening of the bulla. The bulla covers the umbilicus, excepth where it is truncated by the accessory aperture; this truncation gives the bulla a subtriangular outline. The concealed primary aperture is an intraumbilical arch. The wall of the primary chambers is fairly thin compared to the Globerinita pera; it is uniformly and moderately coarsely perforate. The surface of the test is punctate and weakly hispid, the hispidity being strongest in the vicinity of the accessory aperture; no clear retuculate (cancellate) pattern is present. The wall of the bulla is thinner, distinctly more finely perforate and much smoother than that of the primary chambers. Editors' Notes original combination not double checked
