Original Description

Test free, calcareous, elongate, subcone-shaped, trochoid, lobulate, periphery rounded; wall rather thin, finely punctate, minutely spinous; high spired form presentsglobose small initial chambers followed by two whorls of chambers gradually increasing in size with last formed chambers reduced somewhat in size and showing small sec ond ary apertural openings on the outer side at the sutures; primary suture in form of a low arch on the medial side apertural lip narrow; sutures much depressed.

Size:
Holotype (fig. 2) 0.685 x 0.435mm.

Extra details from original publication
The chambers of this subspecies are more globose. It differs in texture, organization of chambers and in the number and position of the secondary apertural openings. The lectotype selected by Banner and Blow (1960 p. 12, pl. 3, fig. 10)  is a more compressed form, less lobulate and with a more punctate texture. It is probable that both subspecies should be considered taxa on the species level.
