Original Description

Test free, calcareous, cone-shaped, trochoid with a high spire, periphery lobulate rounded; wall some what semihyaline finely punctate reticulate spinous; about three whorls of three irregular semiglobose chambers gradually increasing in size to form a high spire; sutures depressed primary aperture in form of a low arch at base of last formed chamber with a smaller secondary one on the opposite side at the suture; apertural lip narrow, smooth.

Size:
Holotype (fig. 1) 0.498mm dia. x 0.415mm; hypotype (fig. 3?) 0.581mm dia. x 0.415mm.

Extra details from original publication
The specimen illustrated in fig. 3 has been included with a question. It presents a thicker wall and thus far no secondary apertures have been observed. Globigerina elongata d’Orbigny, 1826, is sketched and without a description. The sketches show a high spired form, the possibility of about three whorls with three chambers in the last whorl. The aperture is similar also. The present form differs from d’Orbigny’s type figures in showing a longer spire with more globose chambers.
