Original Description Test coiled in a low trochospire with acute, carinate, lobulate, and somewhat pustulate peripheral margin. Dorsal side flat to slightly convex, ventral side convex, consistent, as shown in edge views or holotype and paratype. About 15 chambers comprising the spire of slightly more than three whorls, with from four to four and a half chambers in the final whorl, rarely five. The chambers increase regularly in size as added: in dorsal aspect they are longer tangentially than radially. Dorsal chamber surfaces flat, ventral chambers subtriangular and somewhat inflated. Dorsal intercameral sutures curved, limbate and slightly raised owing to thickening; limbation becoming irregular and breaking up into lines of pustules toward center of test. Later part of spiral suture limbate, earlier portion irregular and pustulate. Ventral intercameral sutures incised radial, nearly straight or may be slightly curved backward toward the umbilicus. Pustules tending to obscure umbilical margin of chambers. A few pustules are scattered over the ventral wall near the umbilicus; dorsally they occur near the peripheral margin and the intercameral sutures, especially on the last two chambers. Umbilicus narrow and deep. Aperture interiomarginal, umbilical-extra-umbilical, a high long arch with a thin imperforate rim or lip. Wall calcareous, radial hyaline, thin, densely and finely perforate. Size: Maximum diameter of holotype (fig. IA-C), 0.60 mm., maximum thickness, 0.30 mm. Maximum diameter of paratype (fig. 2A-C), 0.56 mm.; maximum thickness, 0.24 mm. Extra details from original publication Remarks. - This new subspecies differs from G. conomiozea conomiozea Kennett in being much less convex ventrally, in lacking the complete covering of pustules on the umbilical side, in that the limbations at the inner ends of the intercameral sutures on the dorsal side break up into pustules, in the somewhat higher arched aperture, in the tendency to have about five chambers per whorl in the spire reducing to about four in the final whorl, and in the slightly larger size. Dr. Kennett examined the paratype and considers it to be within the concept of his species.
