Original Description
Extra details from original publication
Remarks: Between core 16-2 and 15-6 there is a distinct change in populations of the conical group of Globorotalia from the typical G. conomiozea form to a more tightly coiled test with more embracing and an associated increase in the height of the chambers resulting in a markedly conical cross section. The tightly coiling habit results in a reduced umbilicus and more slit-like aperature than in typical conomiozea. Populations in core 15 and most of core 14 are predominantly sinistrally coiled. They coil randomly in the lower part of core 13, then dominantly dextrally in its upper part. This distinctive subspecies occurs in the East Coast Basin, North Island, being present in the Mangapoike River section where it has a short range, coiling randomly in the upper part of the range-zone of G. pliozea n. sp., and in the lower part of the range-zones of G. puncticulata s.s., and G. crassaformis (unkeeled).

Hello,
I hope you are well. Inversed priority: Hornibrook, 1982 vs Wei, 1987.

Hi
The story here is that the synonymy is likely, but has not been properly established and so the conventional name is still terminalis. The Neogene working group should consider this. i will add some clearer explanation.
thanks Jeremy
