Original Description

"Diagnosis.- The test is planoconvex. The dorsal side is flat, the ventral convex. In the last whorl are 5 chambers angular in the axial part; with a keel. The aperture is semi-arcuate, with a distinct lip. "Description.- The test consists of 2½-3 whorls of four to five slowly enlarging subconical chambers in the last whorl. The dorsal side is flat or coiled in a low trochospire; the ventral side is convex. The equatorial profile is oval, the periphery lobate; the axial periphery being subangular or angular. On the last 2-3 chambers is a fine, distinct keel. Only in rare cases keel is on all chambers. The intraspiral and intracameral sutures are shallow; the intracameral arcuate. The ventral sutures are radial, slightly curved. The umbilical-extraumbilical, usually semi-arcuate, on the base of the last chamber. The aperture possesses a distinct lip.
