Original Description
Description: The test is loose, planoconvex, low trochospiral. The equatorial section is subcircular, periphery lobate. The axial margin is angular, with a distinct jagged keel. 2-2½ whorls. In the last whorl are most frequently 4 chambers, rarely 4½. The last chamber may sometimes occupy even ⅓ of the test diameter. Umbilicus is broad, deep. Dorsal sutures are curved, the ventral straight, deep. Wall is calcareous, coarse, umbilical, shoulders are strongly hispid. The aperture is at the base of the last chamber, extraumbilical, and covered with a thin apertural lip.
