Remarks: This species has certain similarities with G. lehneri Cushman & Jarvis. It differs from the latter in being smaller in size; it has 5-6 chambers in the last whorl while G. lehneri has 6-7 chambers. Moreover, G. lehneri is known from Middle Eocene only. It differs from G. planoconica Subbotina in having well separated chambers. Rare forms morphologically transitional to G. nagappai and G. palmerae are found in the lower part of G. palmerae zone of PTK-1.
