Original Description ''Shape of test very low trochospiral, biconvex; equatorial periphery subcircular. lobate: axial periphery angular with a distinct imperforate keel: wall calcareous. perforate, some specimens almost transparent; chambers strongly compressed. 6 to 10 in the final whorl, usually about 7; aperture a low arch. exrraumbilical-umbilical with a flaring aperture flap extending into the umbilical area and becoming imbricate in its final development. ln some specimens extensions of the flap cover the umbilical area as a plate and extend along the sutures with small openings at the terminal end of the bullalike plate: sutures on the apertural side are sinuous owing to growth of chamber over the relict aperture; on some specimens the chamber grows around the relict aperture, leaving flaps exposed and projecting into the following chamber. Largest diameter of the ho1otype and paratypes is about 1.0 mm. Size: Largest diameter of the ho1otype and paratypes is about 1.0 mm. Extra details from original publication "Remarks. - This species differs from Globorotalia miocenica in its somewhat larger size, more lobate outline, and lenslike biconvex shape in edge view. It differs from Globorotalia menardii in its more circular outline, more numerous chambers, thinner walled test and keel. and relict apertural flaps which extend imbricate fashion onto the umbilical area. Globorotaliapertenuis differs from Globorotalia multicamerata in the much thinner wall of the test and keel."
