Изменчивость. Особи с 4 камерами в последнем обороте более компактны, а возрастание камер у них более постепенное, чем у 472-ка мерных. Наряду с округлыми в очертании раковины встречаются и округло-овальные экземпляры.
Распространение и возраст. Характерный вид первого и особенно второго фаунистических слоев зоны Globigerina trivialis— Globoconusa daubjergensis — Globorotalia compressa датского яруса Пред кавказья и Западной Туркмении и датского яруса Дании (Loeblich and Tappan, 1957).
