Original Description

[Translation from the Russian.- Test planispiral, round or oval in plan. Dorsal side flat. Initial whorl barely discernible and hardly rises above the next whorl. Ventral side inclined at an angle of 45° to the dorsal side. In the last whorl are three or four flat chambers, semilunate on the dorsal side and triangular on the ventral side. Last chamber takes up half of the entire whorl. Sutures straight, barely depressed. Outer margin sharp, but even, not lobate, sometimes has a keel consisting of densely packed short spines. This keel is noticed mainly from the ventral side, so that an impression is created that it does not fringe the test, but rather represents a thickening of the chambers near the outer margin due to the spines which concentrate here. Umbilicus so narrow is not discernible. Umbilical ends of the chambers join perfectly. They form papillate thickenings, mainly at the end of the last chamber. Aperture a curved slit at the base of the last chamber, extends halfway from the test center to the periphery. Sometimes there is a lip above it. Test surface covered with short spines, which are almost completely absent on the last chamber. Wall perforate.

Size:
Dimensions of typical specimen: Greater diameter 0.46 mm., lesser diameter 0.35 mm., thickness 0.22 mm.
