Original Description

"Diagnosis.- The test is small; the dorsal side flat or gently convex, the ventral side is convex. The last whorl consists of 5 angular chambers, occasionally with a very fine keel. The aperture on the base of the last chamber is interiomariginal, umbilical-extraumbilical. "Description.- The test is small, perforate, spinose on its surface. The last of the 2Â_-3 whorls consists of 5 slowly enlarging subconical chambers. The neighbouring chambers in the last whorl are almos equal in size. The dorsal side is flat or slightly convex, the ventral conical. The equatorial profile is subcircular, the periphery lobate; the axial periphery is angular, occasionally with a very fine keel. In more 'adult' specimens the keel is in all chambers. The angle between the chambers and the equatorial plane is aproxx. 45°. The intraspiral and intracameral sutures on the dorsal side are slightly depressed and curved; those on the ventral side deep, straight, radial. The umbilicus is small, deep. The aperture small, semi arcuate, on the base of the last chamber, interiomarginal, umbilical-extraumbilical. Size: diameter 0.22-0.37 mm., height 0.12-0.2 mm."
