Original Description

Test round, biconvex, ventral side more convex. Three whorls, four-six chambers in each one. Umbilicus open, broad, comprises 1/3 of the test diameter. Peripheral margin broadly scalloped, bears two closely spaced keels. Inter-keel wall becomes narrower in the median part of the chamber, and broader toward the margins. On the dorsal side 2.5-3 whorls are visible, with 4-6 chambers in each. Outline of early chambers sickle-shaped, last three chambers semicircular, surface of chambers flattened. On ventral side outline of initial three chambers rectangular, last three chambers rounded, the first three chambers in addition slightly overlap one another. Umbilical ends of chambers truncated, surrounded by a flange. Keel weakly developed on last chamber. Sutures on dorsal side arcuate, convex, on ventral side straight, depressed. Sutures convex, covered by sutural flanges consisting of fine tubercles. Aperture poorly expressed (filled with matrix).
