Original Description

Test large, with a slightly convex spiral side and a flattened or slightly concave umbilical side, consists of 3 whorls. In the first whorl are 5-6 small spherical chambers. From the start of the second whorl there is a sharp change in size and shape of the chambers, the peripheral margin becomes keeled, and sutural and circum-umbilical flanges appear; there are 5-6 angularly truncated chambers, rapidly increasing in size, in the whorl: on the spiral side of the test at the beginning of the whorl the chambers are semicircular, at the end sickle-shaped; septal sutures bordered, convex, on the spiral side oblique, slightly curved, on the umbilical side radial, strongly curved. Peripheral margin with two parallel keels. Inter-keel area quite broad, slightly concave. Test outline round or slightly oval, lobate. Umbilicus broad, surrounded by well expressed circum-umbilical flanges, nearly hall the width of the test. Principal aperture umbilical. Apertural lips forming supra-umbilical supplementary apertures not discernible, since the umbilicus in the specimens studied is filled with rock. Surface of chambers rough; keels, sutural and circum-umbilical flanges coarsely rough. Right-coiling.
