Original Description

More than half of the tests from the material studied is evolute, irregularly hemispherical. All the specimens coil dextrally. The dorsal side is flatly undulated up to concave, its surface is smooth with expressive ornamentation formed by a keel. The ventral side consists of blown spherical g!obigerine-shaped chambers, it is inflated and its diameter extends over the dorsal part with a keel. The chamber walls are covered with rough papillas up to pustules, which are as a rule, arranged radially, sometimes also horizontally. The number of chambers varies from 4 to 7 in every whorl, especially, in the last one. The chambers are frequently of a different size, they enclose a varied large and deep umbilical area which is larger in the evolute specimens. The youngest chamber is usually smooth, often immature and devoid of a keel. Aperture .interiomarginal, in most cases indistinct, in some specimens tegillum can be seen. The test is considerably fossilized. Keel very .smooth, rarely papillose, bordering expressively the earlier chambers.
