Original Description
"Description. - Test large, spiroconvex, slightly umbilico-convex, compressed, coiled into 3½ whorls. Spiral side convex, umbilical side slightly convex. Equatorial periphery subcircular, strongly lobate and furnished with two keels. Initial chambers small and globular, followed by larger subpetaloid chambers increasing gradually in size in the direction of coiling. Final whorl composed of 8 subpetaloid chambers on spiral side, ovoid on umbilical side. Sutures on spiral side curved, raised and beaded, on umbilical side slightly curved and depressed. Umbilicus large and fairly deep, surrounded by periumbilical ridges and covered by tegilla. Primary aperture interiomarginal umbilical. Surface smooth. Wall calcareous, perforate except for imperforate keels.
