Original Description

"Test trochospiral, lobate, nearly equally biconvex. Periphery with a strong, beaded, wide, double keel. The last whorl typically of 4-5 moderately inflated chambers. Dorsally unarched chambers elongate and crescent-shaped with a wide, imperforate, lunate area adjacent to and sloping sharply toward the inner margin of the previous chamber. Ventrally chambers elongate with an imperforate carina bordering a wide, deep umbiliculus. Wall imperforate surfaces irregularly pustulose. Sutures on dorsal side strongly curved and raised, ventrally slightly curved to radial, depressed. Aperture interiomarginal, umbilical in position."
