Original Description

Test low trochospiral; six chambers rapidly increasing in size, subglobular on the peripheral side and truncated on the umbilical side. Last chamber generally inclining toward the umbilicus. In the early stages of the last volution two keels fringe the shell, but they are somewhat masked by the other well-marked rugose ridges and rugosity in general. Because of this the keels are not always apparent.

Size:
Dimensions of holotype. width 0.53 x 0.51 mm.; thickness, 0.31 mm

Extra details from original publication
Remarks: It is identical to Rugoglobigerina rugosa rugosa with the only well-marked difference being the presence of a discontinuous beaded double keel. The rugosity is apparently increasing higher stratigraphically.
