Type locality: From 710 cm depth in deep-sea sediment core V 12-65, taken at a depth of 4118 m., at lat. 22 degrees 58.6 S., long. 08 degrees 06.5 E., on the east flank of Walfish Ridge, off the southwestern coast of Africa.

Original Description

"Test high conical with depressed umbilicus; periphery only slightly lobulated, marked by a limbate beaded keel and a secondary keel less strongly developed; chambers distinct, 5 making up the final whorl; early chambers globular, inflated, and tight-coiled, later ones flattened and not inflated; sutures distinct, depressed between the later chambers, curved and oblique on the dorsalside, radiating outward from the umbilicus on the ventral side; wall ornamented by coarse pustules over the initial chambers, later part of test finely spinose between the beaded sutures; aperture unobserved, presumably covered by the umbilical tegilla. Diameter 0.30-0.45 mm; height 0.25-0.32 mm."
