Original Description

The proposed new genus is intermediate between Globotruncana and Globotruncanita genera and includes those questionable forms assigned to Globotruncana (see Robaszynski et al., 1984) which possess a single peripheral keel and the umbilical system composed of portici and tegilla.

Species attributed to this genus: Globotruncana insignis (Gandolfi, 1955) and Globotruncanitella n. gen. tercensis n. sp. (this chapter).
