Type sample (& lithostrat): Sample No. 137, light gray silty shale and greensand, at 1503 '-1509' in Louisiana Oil and Refining Co. Tremont No. 2 well. _Eocene, Claiborne, Cane River formation (at least in part equivalent to the Weches formationof Texas and the Enterprise greensand of Mississippi)

Original Description

Test nearly twice as long as broad; chambers numerous, average number eighteen, arranged biserially, increasing gradually in size about half way and thereafter rapidly increasing, globose, inflated; sutures distinct, depressed; wal calcareous, hyaline, unornamented; aperture a large arched opening at base of last-formed chamber.

Size:
Dimensions of holotype: length 0.25 mm; greatest width 0.12 mm.

Extra details from original publication
This species may be identified by its elongate shape and the comparatively large number of chambers in the adult which increase in size about half way in the development of the test.  It is present in the Enterprise formation
