Original Description Hastigerininae in which the adult chambers are radially elongate. Size: Etymology: Extra details from original publication Remarks. This subgenus is named after Dr. H. M. Bolli, Caracas, Venezuela, in recognition of his work on planktonic forarninifera. Editors' Notes Opinion of Brummer & Kucera 2022 A monotypic genus originally proposed as a subgenus of Hastigerina, later as a (sub)genus of Globigerinella. Phylogenetically not incorrect, but unnecessary and therefore here rejected to avoid strictly monotypic genera.
