Original Description

Test transparent, calcareous, smooth, strongly compressed, elongate-rounded on the wide side and more or less lobate. Five to six arched chambers surround the first central chamber, which appears five or size-sided, dark, and of variable size. The last and, at times, the second last chambers are often distinctly inflated producing deep incisions between the chambers. Aperture is not visible. Structure is equally equal-sided.
