Original Description

Very large, fairly robust; moderately elevated dextral trochospire, loose perpendicular to axis. Equatorial outline lobate. Chambers globular, except final chamber which is elongated radially and terminated in two points, barely appressed, 3½ in final whorl. Dorsal view: chambers circular, moderately inflated; sutures deeply depressed; very large apertures at spiral--intercameral junctions. Ventral view: chambers inflated; sutures very deep; umbilicus wide; aperture umbilical, moderately high and wide. Wall densely and coarsely perforate.

Size:
Length, 1040 µm; width, 350 µm.

Etymology:
Full spelling of Greek letter, following informal usage by Blow (1969).
