Côtés inégaux; spire régulière, plus apparente d'un côté que de l'autre. Coquille régulière, libre, subturbinée; ouverture en fente contre l'avant dernier tour de spire.

Editors' Notes

This genus is in use, but for extant and Neogene benthic foramnfera, the Mesozoic planktonic foraminifera described in it have been assigned to other genera, primarily Planomalina [editor's comment - JRY 2019]
