Original Description

Small, robust; low sinistral trochospire, tight parallel and perpendicular to axis. Equatorial outline circular, weakly lobate; lateral outline umbilicoconvex. Chambers ovate, closely compressed, about 14 in total, 5! in final whorl; increase moderate; last chamber reduced. Dorsal view: chambers longer concentrically, barely inflated; sutures barely depressed; intercameral sutures radial to directed and curved posteriorly. Ventral view: chambers inflated; intercameral sutures radial, some curved posteriorly at distal end, meeting at slightly open umbilicus. Lateral view: smoothly rounded, though umbilical shoulder slightly acute in final chamber; aperture umbilical- -extraumbilical, low. Wall smooth with moderately dense pores especially towards periphery; dorsal side thickened, obscuring early chambers.

Size:
Length, 180 µm; width, 160 µm; height, 105 µm.

Latin, planus, flat.
