Original Description

Spire surbaissée. Test fixé par la partie non spirale, trochoïde et régulier; ouverture en fente, située à la région ombilicale, et continue d'un loge à l'autre, point de disque ombilical.

This genus is still in use, but for extant and Neogene benthic foraminifera.
