Original Description

Spiral side depressed and flat plate or bowl-shaped. It has a central disk, and the rim is bordered by an elevated beam. Umbilicus is on umbilical side large and deep. Chambers of the last whorl on the spiral side (six to seven) are similar to those of Rotalia elevata Brotzen, 1934 with only the ridge on the border missing. The umbilical side is like that of R. elevata, and is clearly related with this species.
