Description

Biogeography and Palaeobiology

Phylogenetic relations

The large majority of included taxa are thought to have a common origin from a single surviving species after the K/Pg extinctions. Alternatively more polyphyetic origins from a range of survivors have been proposed. The biserial taxa are thought to have repeatedly evolved from benthic taxa. Arenillas et al. (2022) provide one possible synthesis of phylogenetic relationships across Mesozoic and Cenozoic planktic foraminifera.

Again Sam and Mohsen here, just wanted to make sure if the "search" function/item is working properly for others or is not finding the species and some of the genera. we have tried "Catap" in search for Catapsydrax, which used to work in the past, but since today this kind of search does not bring up any genera or any results. Would appreciate any comments/suggestions.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Sam and Mohsen

Yes - there was a problem with the search, it is (hopefully) fixed now.

thank you for pointing it out

Thank you for pointing that out - there was a new bug there which I had not noticed, it is fixed now. Jeremy

Dear all, Just a quick note to let you know when we are using the advanced search, there is an error and it does not load the search results on our side. Would you please check to see if everything in working fine on your side.

Thanks,
