Taxonomy
Original description: "Flat or slightly convex on the dorsal side, two keels equally developed, somewhat diverging, peripheral band only slightly oblique to the plane of coiling; four to five chambers in the last whorl, long and arched as in the previous subspecies [Globotruncana fornicata subsp. Manaurensis Gandolfi, 1955] but longitudinally inflated with well-developed median inner marginal depression in the last chambers. On the ventral side, the chambers are usually flat with long, curved raised sutures, but the early ones are occasionally inflated and short, with the marginal elevations disappearing in the radial sutural depressions. The test is dextrally coiled.
