Original Description
[Test low conical, often curved; the dorsal side is moderately convex, curved. Following the initial small chamber, in the first whorl there are four barely discernible chambers; in the second whorl there are four semispherical chambers which gradually increase in size; and in the third whorl there are three large inflated chambers. Of the last three chambers, the largest, the apertural chamber, is oblique to the preceding ones, with one end sloping toward the initial part of the test. Ventral side concave or straightened, with three large, strongly inflated chambers, of which the last one is perpendicular to the preceding ones. Septal sutures narrow, straight, rather weakly curved, depressed. Aperture small, slitlike, in the last chamber, at the side of the umbilical area. Wall calcareous, densely porous.
