Original Description

[Translation from the Russian.- Test oval or rounded. Two whorls. Dorsal side flattened, but slightly convex in the middle, where the first whorl is located. Ventral side also somewhat convex. There are 4.5 to 5 chambers in the final whorl. The shape of the chambers is characterized by a strong flattening near the peripheral margin and the gradual increase in height of their ventral sides. Size of chambers in the final whorl increases rapidly. However, very often the final chamber is slightly smaller than the penultimate one. The peripheral margin is semicircular. In the fianl whorl the chambers slightly overlap one another. Outline of chambers is semicircular on the dorsal side and triangular on the ventral. Sutures arcuate, slightly depressed on the ventral side. Peripheral margin lobate, with a broad keel resembling a plicated rim, notched, and covered densely with several rows of small, acircular spines. Umbilicus open and deep, comparatively small. Its diameter is about one-sixth or one-seventh the diameter of the entire ventral side. Aperture slitlike or semicircular, extending from the umbilicus to the middle of the marginal suture. Wall thickly covered with thin, small spines, the dorsal side being less spinose than the ventral. Dimensions: Diameter of holotype 0.43 mm.; thickness 0.24 mm.
