Original Description

"Diagnosis.- Test free, biconvex, very low-trochospirally coiled, sipral side slightly depressed, equatorial periphery slightly lobate, axial periphery angular but without a keel. Wall calcareous, perforate, surface smooth. Chambers angular, compressed, 10-11 arranged in about 1 and 1Â_ whorls, the last whorl with 6-7 chambers increasing rapidly in size. Sutures on the spiral side strongly curved, depressed; sutures on the umbilical side strongly curved, distinctively depressed. Umbilicus small, deep. Aperture a distinct slitat the base of the last chamber, extraumbilical-umbilical, covered with a thin apertural lip.
